And I learned some stuff in the process. I didn't know, for example, that diesels throttle with fuel instead of air. Neat.

It's pretty much why you can add 175 hp with a power programmer, as long as your turbo can keep up and you don't melt anything. Like valves.

That is part of the reason they are more efficient than gasoline engines, the pumping losses are much lower since they don't have to pull air past a throttle plate. Mostly though it is the high compression and better volumetric energy density.

High EGT's really like to melt holes through pistons as well! That is one huge reason that purposely rolling coal is a bad idea.

Indeed! I learned about that, too. How the unburned hydrocarbons break down the oil stabilizers and damage the engines. The temps just get crazy.

I can do that. I'll do the '61, my '67 is a Euro so it looks different than American '67s, which are kinda ugly.

We’re changing up the “AutoMods” program for next month, though, so we’re not actually going to feature the Beetle. Sorry about that, but, to be painfully honest, we don’t have too many parts for it anyway. We have 13 . Yeah.
